sulky thread

Rayon vs. Cotton or Nylon
  • Q: Will Sulky threads last as long as cotton and nylon quilting threads?
  • A: For quilts that are used daily, they will last longer when stitched with Sulky Rayon and Polyester Decorative thread rather than cotton and nylon. Sulky Poly Deco is a Polyester Decorative Thread that is colorfast even when using detergents with optical brighteners or bleach. So if you are making a baby quilt or a toddler quilt, or even one for teenagers and college-age kids, using Sulky Poly Deco for quilting will still give you the shine close to Rayon plus the added durability of Polyester.
