BUTTERFLY IN FLIGHT

A fun and easy way to create a background for simple but dramatic free-motion Thread Sketching, using a sharply contrasting Sulky Cotton Thread to sketch the butterfly over the pieced background. This piece would look beautiful as a pillow, wallhanging, tote or wearable. Ours will be framed, but don’t let that hinder your creative juices. There are many other possibilities for this art.

CAT ON THE COURTHOUSE STEPS

A traditional courthouse steps quilt block, done simply in two neutral fabrics, showcases this adorable cat. Dramatic and intriguing - a new dimension to add to your quilting repertoire.

3-D SUNFLOWER IN AN EDIBLE GARDEN

We fell in love with Stephanie Brandenburg’s fabric art. She turns her paintings into fabric and they are spectacular! Her “Edible Garden” collection caught our eye and Carol Ingram took it to another level, of course! Stephanie’s art fabric is further embellished with a 3-Dimensional Sunflower and it becomes a magical, mystical garden wallhanging. IMAGINE! Stephanie has reprinted this fabric and continues to add beautiful, similar fabrics to her line.

PENNY RUG CANDLEMAT

Evelyn Byler, our quilter extraordinaire dialed it down and designed a simple but lovely candlemat using beautifully hand-dyed wools. Can be stitched by hand or by machine. Evelyn lives in Amish country with an Amish background herself and her homespun creations are truly subtle and lovely. However, she can jazz it up with the best of them, and her quilted pieces and Sulky Teacher Certification samples are always breathtaking.

SERENITY DUCK STAGGERED BARGELLO WALLHANGING

This beautiful wallhanging is easy and fun, but still elegant and intricate looking. Even a quilting newbie will love this easy staggered bargello technique and the amazing ease of using appliqués. The unusual staggered-bargello bottom-finish makes this project especially unique.

MAGICAL TIGERS

Magnificent tigers come almost alive using this special technique that has evolved in simplicity and sophistication over the years. Animal print fabric is spectacular and you will likely want to keep this endangered species for yourself to showcase in your home. (Makes a fabulous gift for a man in your life, too.) You will find yourself captivated by the technique and imagine all kinds of creative things you can do (or teach) using floral fabric, geometrics, fish and other animals. The technique works for wearables, pillows, totes, wallhangings and more. We'll show you how to make this technique work with any beautiful print.

FLORAL FANTASY SCULPTURED ART

Another fabric from Stephanie Brandenberg’s “Edible Garden” collection sent Designer Carol Ingram on another artistic whirlwind. Using a new heat-moldable sculpture product, you will LOVE making this Floral Fantasy Art. Embellished with Sulky Blendables® Thread and beads, it will become a conversation piece in your home and everyone will want one. We’ll show you how to make other shapes too, like leaves and fish! SUN'S UP PLACEMAT

Using the Phillips Wedge Ruler and placemat forms, Margaret Travis' Sun's Up, Eazy-Peazy design, and contemporary fabrics, you will really enjoy the easy geometry of this placemat and the sophisticated look that results. Using a pre-made placemat form, it’s easy and fun to do. There are lots of other projects that can be done with the wedge rulers and we’ll share some of those with you, too! Cheryl Phillip’s tools make complicated designs easy.

FREE-STANDING SWIRLY LACE PEAR DÉCOR

Prepare a free-standing embroidered lace pear and place it three-dimensionally on a beautiful and sophisticated background; add a bold, contemporary scroll appliqué to accent this elegant embroidery and it will fuel your desire for more and more of this free-motion or computerized embroidery lace. The possibilities are endless! Learn all about free-standing lace and how to incorporate it into home dec, wearables and more. (Free-standing lace can be made with or without a computerized embroidery machine.)
