Whether you've made a rope basket in the past or are new to this type of project, you'll learn something new! Not only will you learn the basic rope basket construction, but also loads of optional techniques to take your basket to the next level.

Creative Rope Baskets - Embroidery & Finishing

The featured sewing-themed design, Vibrant Notions Wreath shown above, is FREE for all Session registrants, courtesy of Embroidery Library & Urban Threads! This design comes in two sizes (for a 4x4 and 6x10 hoop), and you can create loads of different basket sizes using these designs.

Add designer touches, such as different handles, fabric strips & inserts, a sturdy base (with or without feet) & finishing flourishes. You'll also learn how to make embroidered placemats, table toppers and coasters using rope, too!

This Embroidery Session includes six Lessons, with multiple sections within each Lesson to navigate through at your own pace. With 11 video tutorials and extra instructions within each Lesson taking you through the steps, you'll feel confident at the sewing machine no matter your skill level.

Class has begun - you can begin working at your own pace. Sew a little each day and schedule your lessons to fit your schedule, or sew a lot when you have a chunk of time.

No embroidery machine? No problem! If you don't have an embroidery machine, you can still learn how to sew a rope basket and embellish with different handles and fabric embellishments! The included video tutorials take you through each option step-by-step with clear and thorough instruction.

This kit includes enough materials to make approximately two embroidered rope baskets, depending on size and chosen embellishments. (One basket takes about 50' to 80' of rope, depending on size; this kit contains 100' of rope.)
