I use sticky fabric, solvy , almost exclusively as my embroidery backing. I love it! It holds the fabric so securely! If I am embroidering on terry cloth towels, I also use ultra Solvy as a topping, to keep the embroidery from embedding into the terry cloth. I hoop the entire piece of sticky fabric solvy, Then I Mark around the hoop edges with the incredible marking pen, which then allows me to lift the paper off the sticky part, without the sticky part gluing onto the hoop. No mess, no fuss! I think Sulky May sell the pen that I am talking about., and I don’t remember the name of the product, but it is shaped like a pen, and cuts through the paper without cutting through the sticky section.
Works great for embroidering on tea towels.
I make a lot of machine embroidered tea towels and this is the best! Sticks to the towel and then dissolves easily with wet paper towels and a hot iron.
Love the coupons!! Makes it so much more affordable! Thank you!!
Only stabilizer I will use in my embroidery business!
Only stabilizer I'll use in my embroidery business.
This is by far the easiest stabilizer to use and it dissolves nicely. Wouldn't use anything else for my flour sack tea towels.
If you want to embroider towels, Sticky Solvy is the secrete weapon. It’s amazingly strong in holding down my towel, yet washes away completely. It’s even stickier than sticky+. It’s perfect for my towel projects! And when I do jobs for others, I can give them a beautiful finished project!!!
Perfect for embroidering on tea towels. Washes away so no stabilizer shows on the back.
